Our Practice
Acute care & management of chronic disease are provided for pediatric, adult & geriatric patients. Preventive medical care is also provided, including well person exams, guidance in health promoting behaviors & screening labs. The on-site lab provides urine screenings, collection & processing of blood & urine samples to be analyzed at offsite facilities. Minor surgical procedures including skin biopsies, incision, drainage and toenail removals etc are performed here. West Marin Medical Center here in downtown Point Reyes collaborates with specialists from all fields; refers patients to specialists and coordinates care when necessary.
Our History
West Marin Medical Center was a private family practice medical office started by Dr. Whitt about 40 years ago here in downtown Point Reyes, since then he'd been assisted by several other general practice physicians, notably Michael Witte, now the leader of the Coastal Health Alliance, and the current staff of Dr. Colin Hamblin and Family Nurse Practitioners. The clinic is open Monday-Friday.
